The Ranch at Live Oak

I am photographing the Ranch at Live Oak today and tomorrow for Travel & Leisure magazine. It's a really beautiful fitness retreat up past Malibu in the Santa Monica Mountains. Incredible setting...and the regimen looks intense!

Location

I love shooting in a new location. Last week in NYC I worked for the first time in an amazing house in the West Village for a beauty shoot; from the outside the building looked normal but once inside it was three floors of completely open space, complete with an atrium on the top floor. On the roof in place of the usual water tower was a small shrine. What a treat to have that as a backdrop for our shoot.

Holiday

Holiday imagery is just festive. Snow: fake or real! Colors: red and green, or blue and white...

These were shot in the blazing heat in the Hamptons, not winter at all...

Peek Holiday

Studio work against a black backdrop... with very cute kids. I love how the clothes pop against the black.

NYC LOCATION

In NYC last week on a beauty shoot, amazing country house in the middle of the west village. My sweet assistant Helen stood in for a lighting test.
