TJMAXX

Just back from Malibu/LA for my second shoot for TJMAXX. We had one kinda rainy day but my amazing assistant Justin was able to recreate sunlight using strobes and, lucky for me, we had umbrellas as a prop.

The work from my previous TJX shoot are out in the stores and also on the web. A few of my favorites below.

Country Living

It's been ages since I shot for Country Living, but I was able to tack on a shoot for them before another job in LA. I was especially excited to shoot for them because I worked with the new editor, Sarah Grey Miller, back when she was at Budget Living. We did a floral theme, which (since I named my daughter Flora) is one of my favorite subjects. We had one morning of sun before the week long rains came. And I shot Sadie, who I haven't photographed since I shot her for Sundance. Nostalgia trip and a fun shoot.

Fitness Magazine Cover Shoot

My Fitness Magazine cover is out. Danee, such a beauty. She was 6 months pregnant in these shots and you couldn't tell at all.

PEEK Kids

Its been raining non stop in California but we had one morning of sun when I was shooting in Petaluma for PEEK kids! I have been a fan of PEEK since I moved to California. I wish they made things in my size.

The morning started off cloudy and then by mid day we had little bits of sunshine. It was freezing so to keep the kids warm we did a lot of running and jumping and in the end we were all in our tee shirts.

Beautiful yellow mustard flowers and green green grass. Such a sweet location and very fun for the kids to run wild.

VALENTINES

The iconography for Valentines Day never stops being interesting to me! We shot this with Philippine Scali and Danielle Gold, both incredible talents.

Twig Design

Yesterday I did a shoot for twig design. The designer Laurie, makes the most amazing little napkins with sweet colored stitching. It had been awhile since I did a still life shoot and I never tire of it. When I shoot still life I am looking at all the same things I look at when I am shooting people: light, composition, color.
